    綜合管理:專家建議,未來應對喜馬拉雅山Shiwaliks地區的入侵植物採取綜合防治方法。入侵物種相關的問題是嚴重的,因為缺乏認識,對於物種類別及擴散程度沒有足夠的資料(Dogra, Kohli & Sood 2009)。Batish(2008)建議全面收集入侵植物的資料,找出其可能的入侵方式,了解入侵植物的生物和生態屬性,確定入侵植物對該地區社會經濟和生態的影響,並將此資訊傳播給公眾,制訂預防措施,以免雜草入侵。

    化學方法:在雜草長出以前,使用西瑪津,草脫淨,敵草隆,惡草酮,乙氧氟草醚,methazole或 metribuzin可有效地控制這種雜草。在雜草長出以後,可使用 2.4-D控制侵襲的植群(Rao 2000)。
    在另一方面,建議使用對生態、環境友好的有效控制方法,來控制藿香蓟(A. conyzoides)。香茅和桉樹的植物萃取物(揮發性精油)也許有希望能控制藿香蓟(A. conyzoides)(Batish等人, 1997,Singh 等人, 2002,Batish等人, 2004),使用這些天然植物萃取物,已取得一些成功的經驗。例如,研究顯示,兩種揮發性單萜(桉葉油和香茅醇)對藿香蓟(A. conyzoides)具有植物相剋作用,未來很有可能用於雜草控制。兩種單萜都會嚴重影響藿香蓟(A. conyzoides)的發芽率,發芽速度,幼苗生長,葉綠素含量和呼吸活性,經過兩個星期的接觸,雜草會枯死。桉樹腦是比兩種單萜毒性更大的物質(Singh Batish and Ravinder 2002)。

This version of the database has been developed by the IUCN SSC ISSG as part of an Overseas Territories Environmental Programme funded project XOT603 in partnership with the Cayman Islands Government - Department of Environment. The compilation is a work under progress, the ISSG will manage, maintain and enhance the database with current and newly published information, reports, journal articles etc.
