Management Notes for this Location: The removal of feral cats (Felis catus) in Tidbinbilla, Australian Capital Territory, resulted in a population increases in the freckled duck (Stictonetta naevosa), the musk duck (see Biziura lobata in IUCN Red List of Threatened Species) and the magpie goose (see Anseranas semipalmata in IUCN Red List of Threatened Species) (Lambie 1988, Osborne and Williams 1991 in Dickman 1996). Removal of cats was from a small area via the use of cat-proof enclosures. Foxes were also removed or reduced in the study at Tidbinbilla.
