    The removal of feral cats (Felis catus) on Reevesby Island, South Australia, resulted in a population increase in the Cape Barren goose (see Cereopsis novaehollandiae in IUCN Red List of Threatened Species) (Copley 1991, in Dickman 1996). Removal of cats was from a small area via the use of cat-proof enclosures.
