    Species Notes for this Location:
    Feral cats were introduced to the Jarvis Island National Wildlife Refuge in the 1930s, and extirpated some tern species, small procellarids, Pacific rats (Rattus exulans) and Norway rats (Rattus norvegicus) from Jarvis, Howland and Baker Islands.
    Management Notes for this Location:
    Feral cats were eradicated from Jarvis Island in 1990, from Baker Island in the 1960s, and Howland Island in 1986. Since the eradication of feral cats and rats, many previously extirpated seabird species have returned to the islands.
