Management Notes for this Location: Pacific rats (Rattus exulans) were eradicated from Atihau Island by the Department of Conservation between 1990 and 1991, using bromadiolone (McFadden, 1992b; 1994). Location Notes: Atihau Island (16 ha) is part of the Mokohinau Islands group, about 100 km north-east of Auckland, New Zealand. The vegetation cover is primarily forested (J. Russell, pers. comm.).
